Quality Care & Education in an Affordable Nurturing Environment
Early Learning Experiences / Success & Joy
In selecting our school for your child, you will find a place where he/she will be loved, cared for, and where early learning experiences will be full of success and joy.
Our Mission
The Hortin Child Development Center will enrich the lives of children ages 2-5, their families, and the staff by providing fulltime quality care and education in an affordable, nurturing, Christian environment.
Our Goal
Our goal is to provide quality care for children of the church and community. We will encourage all children to:
- Ask questions, explore, and experiment.
- Make friends and learn to get along with other children and adults.
- Help develop a new security and independence in the world outside the home.
- Develop socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
- Find that he/she is a person to be valued for his/her own unique talents and abilities.
Our school is Christian-oriented but not denominationally sectarian. We stress those elements common to all Christian faiths. We are committed to giving equal opportunities for all without regard to race, color, religion, or national origin.
Under the leadership of qualified staff, the curriculum includes a balance of guided play, creative expression in art, music, drama, and age-appropriate educational and developmental programs.
The center’s environment is safe, stable, and devoted to the enrichment of your child’s life. We welcome family members to visit and participate in center activities and to witness first- hand the nurturing each child receives at the center.
The center is fully licensed and operates under child care standards established by the Pinellas County License Board for Children’s Centers and Family Day Care Homes.
